The ((USP)) is an instrumental 5-piece combining jazz, funk, and modern electronic technology with classic mind-bending psychedelia. Miles- and Pink Floyd-esque modal experimentation often leads to incredible journeys of musical mayhem, limited only by these musicians' incredibly imaginative minds. The end result is a sound so unique it defies typical categorization. The group's sound can be described as modern yet classic, electronic yet organic. This duality is what provides these talented musicians with constant food for thought and a fervent desire to go beyond their comfort zones. To stretch the melodic and rhythmic boundaries is the rule rather than the exception. They have been described as somewhere between Galactic and MMW, Miles-meets-Moog, Floyd-goes-Phishing, eventually spewing forth the deep sonic insides of a binge-jam session and leaving the listener with a fantastic harmonic hangover! The group's goal is to take the listener on a journey into the unknown and just one more step closer to the edge that looks over the improvisational expanse! |
